【EN】Ep.1-How Release Hallucination Began

My name is emi from Release Hallucination.
In this article, I’d like to look back on how our unit first came together.

My first encounter with kaoru happened through the internet.

At the time, I was still a high school student, attending a rather unique school where I could study music while also earning my diploma. My days were filled with singing, learning music theory (sometimes half-heartedly), and creating songs with DTM, while also playing in bands. I even performed live in Tokyo, but all of those bands were cover bands that played existing songs. As time went on, I grew more determined to create original music, and together with a bassist I was playing with at school, I decided to seriously start looking for new members.

We tried putting up notices on studio bulletin boards, posting on band member recruitment sites, and sometimes even held trial jam sessions. Still, it was difficult to find someone whose musical taste and vision matched ours.

Then one day, a simple message arrived from a guitarist:
“Are you still looking for members?”
That was my very first contact with kaoru—who would go on to become the guitarist of Release Hallucination.
